_{Finally back in New Zealand!~ Funnily enough, while in China I got a huge burst of ideas for Hetalia but nothing related to Yao. :/ Ah well. This was one of the ideas that spawned on me while over there and I drew most of this there when I had time.
Does Gilbird look like himself...? I am no good with chicks.

I love the dark sharp lines and so many colours!

Oh my gosh!!! I swear I never saw this in my inbox. D= How could I miss this? It's so great! Once again, I am captivated by your style and your shading! And how the deep, dark lines give such a great contrast.

I think that Gilbird is fine. He wasn't really given much detail in the webcomic, so it's great here.

I did upload quite a bit in that month. It was probably easy to miss

I swear my style changes quite a bit. Maybe it's more subtle than I thought~ Glad you like the contrasting; it was the most plainest background of mine yet. Colour wise anyways

I suppose everyone has a different Gilbird in mine, whether he be a chubby chickie or an actual bird. Thank you~~~

I really like the way you make folds and shadows, because it adds an ounce of originality to it, even though it's fanart. It makes your work stand out

I don't know, what your original intention was, but the triangle corners reminds me of an old photograph frame, which makes me think of your drawing being a picture taken of Gilbert in one of his last moments as Preußen, before he slowly fades away..

By the way, don't worry about Gilbird. He is often drawn in a rather cartoonish style, mostly as a roundish yellow spot with eyes, and I may not know a whole lot about chicken anatomy...

but I think you can't mistake your Gilbird for anything else than well, a Gilbird

I just wanted to make it seem like a bittersweet parting and our dear Gil literally disappearing~

Gilbird ends up being a fat podge
I swear in my BFT work I'm doing at the moment, he's become a soldier bird.
Chicken anatomy is a rather humourous concept.
